Uncertainty

The worries keep nagging at my head
A clock counting down my fate
Of a future undetermined up-ahead

Dreams long gone and in their stead
Cold reality is at the gate
The worries keep nagging at my head

That the life I’ve foolhardily led
Has now reached a final strait
Of a future undetermined up-ahead

A roll of dice, a chance misread
Was it too late to clear the slate?
The worries keep nagging at my head

The day is gone, the lights go dead
Can’t close my eyes, instead I wait
Of a future undetermined up-ahead

As I lay tossing in my bed
The sandman coming much too late
The worries keep nagging at my head
Of a future undetermined up-ahead
